Class of 1947 says goodbye to Liberty High School reunions

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After 70 years, the class of 1947 from Liberty High School in Bethlehem said goodbye to annual reunions.

Class members held their final organized reunion Wednesday at Palace Restaurant in Bethlehem Township.

Reunion organizers said over the past five years they have gotten together every year. Previously, they held reunions every five years.

"We're tired. We've done it so many years and we figure if anybody else wants to do it, they can do it. We'll come," said Betty Masteller who is on the reunion committee.

"They're just a good group of people. There were some very intelligent people in the class," she said.
