Suspect arrested in fatal shooting in Palmer Township

PALMER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A suspect is in custody after a fatal shooting in Palmer Township Thursday night.

Palmer Township police say shortly after 7 p.m. officers were dispatched to the AutoZone located at 2503 Nazareth Road for a report of shots fired.

Police say says when officers arrived on scene they found a victim inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds to the body.

Shortly after EMS arrived, the unidentified victim was declared dead.

District Attorney John Morganelli says a suspect is in custody and it’s believed the suspect and the deceased may have known each other.

Morganelli went on to say it seems like some prior incident led up to this.
