Coroner rules couple's death a murder-suicide

WHITEHALL, Pa. - A coroner says the deaths of a married couple found in their Pennsylvania home resulted from a murder-suicide.

In a news release, the Lehigh County coroner says 41-year-old Brian Thomson shot his wife, 35-year-old Kelsy Thomson, before turning the gun on himself.

Their bodies were discovered in their Whitehall Township home Wednesday afternoon.

The couple had two young daughters. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to raise money for a scholarship for the girls.

Police say an investigation into what led to the shooting is ongoing.
