Council weighs in on West Easton drug and alcohol treatment center

EASTON, Pa. - The old mill is already home to an inmate-work release program and a Lehigh Valley developer wants to add a 176 bed, inpatient treatment center next door.

West Easton Borough Mayor Dan DePaul says the idea has been tossed around since 2013 when an ordinance was passed that amended zoning laws to make a treatment center possible.

DePaul says borough council will review the plan Monday night for conditional use approval.

Watch WFMZ's Emma Wright with reactions from the mayor and business owners regarding the potential treatment center.
