Court documents reveal new details in deadly gas station robbery

3 suspects charged in shooting of attendant to be returned to NJ

Phillipsburg homicide latest

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Three men charged with murder in the deadly shooting of a gas station attendant faced a judge on Tuesday.

Andy Torres, 22, David Beagell, 21, and Zachary Flowers, 18, will be returned to New Jersey to face charges for their alleged roles in the shooting of Kismathdas Kasam.

A fourth suspect, Alexis Flowers, waived her right to fight extradition last week.

According to court documents, the four suspects hatched a plan to rob the BP gas station on South Main Street in Phillipsburg, N.J., on Jan. 5.

Alexis Flowers, 21, Zachary's sister and Torres' girlfriend, told police she and David Beagell, stayed in the car while her brother and Torres, armed with a shotgun, went into the gas station and demanded money from Kasam, according to police.

Flowers told police Kasam was cooperating, but Torres fired the gun into Kasam's leg anyway. Kasam, 47, died in the hospital two days later.
After the shooting, the four then floored it back to Pennsylvania, where they shared the stolen loot, police said. Torres then reportedly swapped the license plate of Alexis's car and removed identifiable stickers.

But his efforts were for naught.

Court documents said a friend of Zach Flowers's led police to the four suspects.

The Allentown PD picked up the Flowers siblings and Beagell January 11.

Torres joined them in jail a day later.

At this time the Warren County Prosecutor doesn't have a date of when they will be taken to New Jersey.
