Cramsey asks to go to jail one month early in gun cache case

LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. - A source tells 69 news John Cramsey, in a surprise move, asked to go to jail a month early in the Holland Tunnel gun case.

He had been lobbying for probation.

Cramsey, from Lehigh County, pleaded guilty to weapons charges in July. In June 2016, he had a truck load of weapons when he was stopped outside of the Holland Tunnel.

Cramsey said he was on a mission to save a woman from a drug den.

Under a plea deal he will serve at least one year and up to five years. Cramsey is in the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
