VIDEO Allentown man seriously injured...

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A stretch of Lehigh Street in Allentown was closed for several hours after a serious crash Saturday morning.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident just before 8 a.m. at Lehigh and Glenwood streets.

Allentown police said the 23-year-old driver of one of the cars suffered life-threatening injuries and was in critical condition at the hospital.

Officials said the 23-year-old Allentown man was driving south on Lehigh Street when a car in the northbound lanes turned left in front of him onto Glenwood Street.

Police said the driver of the second car, an 85-year-old Wescoesville man, suffered minor injuries.

Both southbound lanes of Lehigh Street were closed from Downyflake Lane to I-78 for several hours causing delays in both directions.

Officials are still investigating the crash. There's no word on whether charged may be filed.
