Crews rescue woman from Allentown fire

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Firefighters rescued a woman and two pets from a burning building in Allentown Friday night.

Officials said the fire broke out in the kitchen around 10:30 in the 100 block of South 17th Street.

Firefighters arrived to find a woman on the roof with two pets. Crews used a ladder truck to get her and the pets down safely.

Both units of the twin home suffered serious damage.

Four people have been displaced.

There were no injuries reported.
