Crews rush to save Allentown home

Allentown Fire

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Crews in Allentown attempted to salvage a home after a three-alarm fire.

Officials say the flames broke out just before 12:30 Sunday afternoon in the 500 block of Seventh Street.

Crews on the scene said flames spread to a neighboring home but were contained before any damage was done.

Firefighters were able to control the fire in about two hours.

At least two people were sent to the hospital for minor injuries.

The American Red Cross assisted 13 adults and seven children displaced by the fire with lodging, food and clothing.

There's no word on what sparked the fire.
