Damal Clark charged in Allentown shooting incident

Shooting suspect arrested

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A 21-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged role in a shooting incident.

Damal Clark was arrested late Friday night. Police say he is believed to have tried to shoot at least one other person during an incident that happened around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Chew Street.

No one was struck by a bullet, according to police.

Clark has been charged with two counts of being a person not allowed to possess a firearm, two counts of carrying firearms without a license, and one count possessing a firearm with an altered serial number.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the Thursday night shooting.

Details of the incident are limited at this time. Police said they are still investigating a motive for the shooting and trying to identify additional suspects.

There is no word yet on how many people were involved in the shooting.

Police said additional charges could possibly be filed against Clark as the investigation continues. Clark had a firearm in his possession when he was arrested, according to police.
