David Jaindl holds open house on concept plans for Mary Immaculate Center

LEHIGH TWP., Pa. - In Northampton County, the public got a look at a concept plan by David Jaindl to turn a former Catholic seminary and convent into a resort and residential community.

Dozens of residents came out to the old Mary Immaculate Center in Lehigh Township for an open house hosted by Jaindl.

Preliminary plans call converting the old seminary and convent off Cherryville Road into a wedding venue, hotel and spa.

Housing would be built on the more than 400-acre property at a later date.

Jaindl says no formal plans have been submitted to the township although he is hoping to do so early next year.
