Defense to begin presenting case in Allentown mayor's trial

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The defense will begin presenting its case Wednesday in Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski's federal corruption trial.

The final piece of the prosecution's case was the mayor's nearly three hour interview with FBI agents that happened the day they raided city hall in 2015.

The government says Pawlowski lied about exchanging city contracts for campaign donations and other things.

But the mayor's attorney says the FBI didn't tell him the truth when it said his interview wasn't being recorded.
