Developer pitches psychiatric center in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem may be getting a new psychiatric facility.

Developer Abe Atiyeh said he wants to open an 80-bed psychiatric health center at Center Street and Dewberry Avenue.

The one-story, 30 square-foot facility would treat both children and adults.

Atiyeh is looking for a zoning ordinance change to make it happen. That proposal will be discussed at a Bethlehem City Council meeting next week.
