Developers, investors meet over funding of hockey arena

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A group of developers and investors met today to voice their concerns over the way the Allentown hockey arena project is being funded.

Officials from the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation say the group held a private meeting to discuss the controversial Neighborhood Improvement Zone -- also known as the NIZ.

Tax money generated by employees working in the NIZ will be used to fund projects inside the zone -- like the arena.

Officials have not released any details of Thursday's meeting.
