District judge's death ruled suicide

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - The coroner's office has ruled the death of Magisterial District Judge Robert C. Halal a suicide.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said Halal, 52, was pronounced dead at 4:07 p.m., Monday, at his home in Whitehall Township.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday.

Police were on the scene of his home in the 4800 block of Main Street for several hours Monday.

The Whitehall Township Police Department is investigating, as well.
