EASTON, Pa. - An Easton police detective credited with solving two homicides was honored as police officer of the year Wednesday night by Easton City Council.

Det. Matthew R. Rush, who joined the department in 2006, has served in the patrol division and on the accident investigation and crises negotiation team.
