Easton Mayor Sal Panto to shed light on sale of Easton's Alpha building

EASTON, Pa. - The City of Easton is on the verge of selling a local landmark.

Mayor Sal Panto says he will make a major announcement Thursday on the planned sale of the Alpha building which currently houses city hall and several local businesses.

The mayor says he will provide details of the negotiations that have been on ongoing with a previously undisclosed buyer.

The sale of the building is part of Panto's plan to fund the construction of a new building, parking deck and transportation center one block away on a vacant lot on South Third Street.
