Easton police: Man opened fire on occupied car, charged with attempted homicide

EASTON, Pa. - A 25-year-old man is facing attempted homicide charges after allegedly opening fire on a car with three people inside.

Police said it happened just before 11 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East Kleinhans Street.

Kevin Holton admitted he fired numerous shots at the car as it left the area, according to court records.

No one was hit by the gunfire. Police said the victims' vehicle and a parked vehicle were both struck by gunfire.

Officers apprehended Holton in neighboring Palmer Township.

Police said he knows the people in the car and the shots fired stemmed from a domestic issue. One of the victims said Holton had been texting her during the day saying he was going to shoot and kill her.
