Easton police warn public to be on alert

Police seek man who spoke with teen along Spruce Street

EASTON, Pa. - Easton police are investigating an incident where a man spoke with a teenager early Monday afternoon.

According to police, about 12:40 p.m. Monday, a 15-year-old female was walking in the 1100 block of Spruce Street when an adult male stopped to speak with her, then asked if she wanted to smoke with him.

Police said the male did not attempt to get  the girl into his vehicle.

But they felt the public should be advised about what happened as they continue their investigation.

The individual in the vehicle was last seen going west near Raspberry and Spruce streets.

He was described as a black male with a scruffy beard wearing a black hat and black, zip-up sweater.

The vehicle was described as a green mini-van, older model, in poor condition.
