Elderly woman severely injured in Allentown crash

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A crash has been reported along Hamilton Boulevard in Allentown. 

It happened Tuesday morning in the eastbound lane of the one-way section of the road.Our crew at the scene said  it's at the exit of the Weis, near the Atrium building.

Police say a man and a woman in their 80s were traveling eastbound on in the 2900 block. Police say the man decided to make a left into the Atrium building, without yielding, which caused a westbound car, with a 41-year-old male driver to collide with the passenger side of the vehicle according to police. 

Police say the woman has severe injuries, including a head wound. The man suffered minor injuries. 

The 41-year-old driver was not harmed. 

Police say accident reconstruction is being done.
