Emmaus HS student injured after hit by car

EMMAUS, Pa. - An Emmaus High School student twisted his ankle after he was hit by a car while riding his bike, police said.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Harrison and North streets, near the high school.

The student was crossing the street on his bike when the car hit the bike, officials said. The student injured his ankle while breaking his fall, but police said his injuries are minor.

Officials said the driver did stay on scene and charges are not expected to be filed.
