Emmaus, Liberty eager for conference tilt

Green Hornets coming off 1st loss; Hurricanes get Street back

Emmaus, Liberty eager for conference tilt

Emmaus and Liberty go toe-to-toe Friday night in Bethlehem in yet another EPC South showdown.

It's an unfamiliar feeling for the Emmaus this week. The Green Hornets, trying to bounce back following their first loss of the year at the hands of Nazareth.

Harold Fairclough's team will need to have a short memory. Next up, a visit to 5-2 Liberty.

Emmaus is tied with Beca for the EPC South lead.

As tough as it is on the surface to absorb a loss, it can sometimes be the best thing to happen to a team.

Judging by the way the Hornets attacked practice this week, that very well could be the case.

Liberty, knows full well what to expect Friday.

The team will be without starting quarterback Todd Erney with a school discipline issue.

The Hurricanes are expected to get D-1 wideout Darian Street back from injury in what is a huge boost to the offense.

Liberty feels like if they can match Emmaus' physicality, they'll give themselves a chance in this one.
