Environmental groups ask for injunction to stop power line

Environmental groups ask for injunction to stop power line

Environmental groups are trying once again to stop the construction of a power line through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

They're asking a federal judge to grant a preliminary injunction to stop construction of the Susquehanna-Roseland line in just two weeks.

It's the latest in a string of legal actions.

PPL and PSE&G are replacing an existing power line with a larger one to help upgrade the power grid.

Environmental groups say the power line will irreparably harm the park.

They also say the National Park Service unlawfully approved the line.
