Excavator hits gas line near Allentown Fairgrounds

Gas leak in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Gas was turned off in one part of Allentown Sunday night after an excavator struck a gas line.

It happened about 5 p.m. near Lafayette and Liberty streets, near the Allentown Fairgrounds.

UGI crews turned off the gas while repairs were made.

No one was evacuated and no injuries were reported.
