Explosion, fire reported at Bethlehem home

2 officers, 5 others injured in explosion, fire in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem police are investigating an explosion and fire at a home Friday morning.

The incident was reported around 3:30 a.m. at 1965 Greenleaf St.

According to police, officers were planning to execute a search warrant for methamphetamine at the address, scheduled for 6 a.m. Friday, when the fire and explosion were reported.

Fire officials said five people, plus two police officers were injured.

They were taken to a hospital for treatment. Officials had no information about their conditions.
