Fake water employees target homes

FOUNTAIN HILL, Pa. - Police in a Lehigh County borough are urging residents to be on alert following a pair of crimes involving men posing as utility workers.

Police in Fountain Hill say both incidents involved young men presenting fake water department identification cards to elderly residents in an attempt to gain access to their homes.

Police say one home was burglarized. The burglars failed to get into the other home.

The incidents happened on January 7th and 13th in the 1100 block of Stanley Avenue and the 800 of North Lynn Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
