Fallen tree causes power outages for part of Lehigh County

All power restored by late Thursday afternoon

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - A fallen tree caused traffic and power problems in one area of Lehigh County Thursday afternoon.

According to county officials, the tree fell on some power lines in the 1100 block of Mickley Road in Whitehall Twp.

PPL reports around 300 customers are without power as of 1:15 p.m. An hour later, that number dropped to 265.  By 4:15 p.m., power had been restored to all customers, according to PPL's website.

Fire police are directing traffic and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
