Family: Student critically injured in Easton hit-and-run making remarkable progress

A Lafayette College student who was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in Easton is making remarkable progress, according to the Facebook page chronicling her recovery.

Aubrey Baumbach is now able to participate in various physical and speech therapies at a Massachusetts hospital on a daily basis, without interruption, her parents posted on the Facebook page "Aubrey's Odyssey."

"Although we know that she will continue to encounter obstacles along the way, planned and unforeseen, we are relieved to know that she has reached this point in the recovery process," her parents wrote.

Following the accident, there had been questions if an unconscious Baumbach would ever wake up.

Officials said Wilson Kneebone of Martins Creek hit Baumbach on Lehigh Street in Easton as she was leaving rowing practice back on Nov. 8. Kneebone is facing various charges in connection with the crash.
