Lehighton man killed in Washington Township crash

Ronald Graver, 51, was killed

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A Lehighton man was killed in a head-on collision in Lehigh County Monday.

The two-car crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Mountain Road, about a mile west of Rt. 873, in Washington Township.

State police said a car driven by Ronald Graver Jr. crossed over the double yellow lines and crashed head-on into an oncoming car.

The coroner said Graver Jr., 51, was killed in the collision.

A 69 News crew on scene was told the man died while emergency crews were working to extricate the person from the wreckage.

The driver of the other car was taken to the hospital. No word on the extent of his injuries.

The road was closed for hours as authorities investigated.
