Fire breaks out at vacant home in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Firefighters responded to a house fire in Allentown late Sunday night.

The fire started around 11:45 p.m. in a vacant home in the 300 block of North 9th Street.

Smoke could be seen coming from the building and the fire went to two alarms.

Fire officials said the first floor has extensive damage, and the second and third floors have some heat and smoke damage.

The row homes on either side of the house have some exterior damage but are habitable, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but it is not believed to be suspicious.

No one was injured.
