Fire breaks out overnight at Amazon warehouse in Palmer

PALMER TWP., Pa. - A fire broke out at the Amazon warehouse in Palmer Township early Tuesday morning. It forced the building to be evacuated.

Police say the fire broke out in a trash compactor at the facility, which extended into a dumpster.

Police say smoke filled the warehouse, which forced an evacuation and the facility to be closed.

Crews worked at the scene into the morning to put out the fire, and get the smoke out of the building.

No one was hurt.
