Fire official charged with stealing from department

MACUNGIE, Pa. - A security official has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from a Lehigh County fire department.

Police say Scott Rohrbach, 29, of Macungie, is facing charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Investigatos say Rohrbach was a member of the Macungie Fire Company's security committee. Police say between September 2013 and December 2013, Rohrbach stole small games of chance tickets and turned in the winning tickets for payment.

Police say Rohrbach has been charged with stealing tickets worth $7,570 and improperly receiving winnings totaling $21,325. He turned himself into Macungie Police and was taken to Lehigh County Central Booking to be arraigned.
