Former Parkland football star faces jail time

Austin Scott sentenced Wed. to 6-23 months.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A former Lehigh Valley football star who pleaded guilty to drug charges will now spend months behind bars.

Austin Scott was sentenced Wednesday to six to 23 months in jail.

He pleaded guilty last month to delivery of marijuana.

Scott, 29, of Allentown, was accused of selling marijuana to undercover officers on four separate occasions in July, September and October 2013 at various locations in South Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co., and Allentown.

The former Parkland High School and Penn State player also faces 24 months of probation after his jail time.
