Former student suing ASD over violence in school

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Allentown School District is facing a lawsuit from a former student over school safety.

Onesimus Gayemen said he was attacked by four students while he was a student at William Allen High School in March 2011.

Gayemen, now 19, ended up with a broken jaw. He is suing the district for failing to take steps to prevent violence in the school.

The suit alleges the district is in the wrong for failing to take action against his attackers, whom he said were known to be violent.

The district's attorney has not returned 69 News' calls.
