Fountain Hill Public Works Department to get a facelift

FOUNTAIN HILL BOROUGH, Pa. - It's been a long wait for employees but the Fountain Hill Public Works Department is about to get a major facelift.

Borough officials broke ground on a new garage Wednesday with more to come.

Fountain Hill Borough Council President Larry Rapp says the project has been in the works for about 12 years.

After looking at multiple locations, the council decided to upgrade the department's current building located at 843 N. Clewell Street.

“Everything should be like a brand new building…brand new offices, brand new garages,” said Rapp.

Rapp says the project is expected to cost more than $1 million.
