Four injured in Route 309 accident in Lynn Township

LYNN TWP., Pa. - Four people were taken to the hospital after a violent five-vehicle accident in Lehigh County.

The accident happened on Route 309 near Gun Club Road in Lynn Township Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred as a vehicle traveling northbound crossed over into the southbound lanes. The vehicle sideswiped an oncoming car, then spun hitting another vehicle. A separate car then rear ended that crash.

The vehicle that was sideswiped traveled over 100 feet sideways before striking another car traveling northbound.

Four people were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

That area of Route 309 was shut down for a couple of hours.
