Free radon test kits available to Lehigh Valley residents

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says radon is responsible for over 21,000 lung cancer deaths each year.

The Allentown Health Bureau and the American Lung Association are teaming up with the Department of Environmental Protection to offer free radon test kits to Lehigh Valley Residents who have never completed a prior radon test in their home.

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas and it can't be seen, smelled or tasted, making it hard to detect.

You can pick up your free kit at an Allentown Health Bureau Office:

City Hall - 435 Hamilton Street

Alliance Hall - 245 N. 6th Street

Supplies are on a first come, first serve basis.
