Garden of marijuana sends Allentown man to court

Police found more than 200 plants growing in Fayez Dayoub's backyard

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A 48-year-old Allentown man will be going to court on charges that he had a thriving marijuana garden in his backyard.

All charges were held for court at a preliminary hearing for Fayez Dayoub Tuesday. No trial date was set.

Allentown police busted him on July 22 for growing more than 200 marijuana plants in his backyard in the 100 block of Tilghman Street.

Police said some of the plants were eight feet high.

After his arrest, Dayoub was committed to Lehigh County Prison on numerous drug charges.
