Giraffe feeding deck opens at Lehigh Valley Zoo

A week after Murphy the giraffe made his debut, the giraffe feeding deck is now open at Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Visitors celebrated World Giraffe Day Wednesday by getting up close and personal with Murphy.

The zoo will have two feeding sessions daily. Session one, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is for zoo members only. Session two, from 2 to 3 p.m., is for all zoo guests.

Guests can buy tickets at the main gate for $3 for members and $4 for non-members. Eighty feeding tickets will be sold per session.

Lehigh Valley Zoo also announced it will be donating 100 percent of the profits to the Giraffe Conservation Fund through the end of June.
