Hawk rescued from tree in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Conservation officers in Allentown raced to save a red tail hawk that was stuck in a tree.

It happened at around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon on Roth and Woodlawn streets.

We're told the hawk was hanging by one wing in its nest high up in a tree.

Officers from the state Game Commission took the bird away.

It's expected to recover.
