Hellertown police investigating hit-and-run wreck

HELLERTOWN, Pa. - Hellertown police are investigating a hit-and-run wreck tht happened early Christmas morning.

Police said the wreck occurred about 5:15 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of East High Street, where a 2012 to 2014 Subaru Impreza hit a parked car.

The Subaru then drove away from the crash, heading south on Jefferson Street. Police said officers later found the front driver's side portion of the car's bumper and fog light assembly.

The Subaru may also have a smashed driver's side headlight.

Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact the Hellertown Police Department at 610-759-2200.

Hellertown police announced on its Facebook page that they've identified the vehicle, thanking residents for "being observant and reporting suspicious incidents as they occur."
