Hitcho files appeal

Hitcho appeal

The death row inmate convicted of killing a Northampton County police officer has filed an appeal.
The Express- Times is reporting that George Hitcho Junior has filed paperwork saying he should be acquitted or granted a new trial.
Earlier this month, Hitcho was sentenced to death for the first-degree murder of Freemansburg police officer Robert Lasso.
The report says in his appeal, Hitcho claims he should be charged with involuntary manslaughter since he thought his own life was in danger.
