Humane Society sued over custody of pit bull

A lawsuit filed over a dog in Lehigh County has been settled.

The Lexus Project got a restraining order against the Lehigh County Humane Society last week, to keep it from euthanizing Elsie, a pit bull.

The Lexus Project is a New York-based non-profit group that rescues dogs.

Court documents show the two parties have now agreed that Elsie is in no danger of being euthanized.

In fact, the Humane Society says it never considered doing that.

The two parties will now work together to find Elsie a home.
