Hundreds take part in Lehigh Valley Polar Plunge

EASTON, Pa. - Hundreds of brave souls jumped into the Delaware River to help an important cause.

The annual Lehigh Valley Polar Plunge stepped off at high noon Saturday in downtown Easton.

The event raises money for Pennsylvania Special Olympics.

It's one of nine Special Olympics plunges taking place across the state this winter.

The plunges help support programs benefiting nearly 20,000 Special Olympics athletes.
