Jaindl proposes development on 217...

FOGELSVILLE, Pa. - Lehigh Valley developer David Jaindl is looking to build an expansive commercial project in the Fogelsville section of Upper Macungie Township.

Jaindl went before the Upper Macungie Township planning board this week to propose his plan for a 217 acre property in Fogelsville.

Jaindl presented conceptual plans for building six 20,000 square foot warehouses, two hotels, three restaurants and an office building on the property along Main Street. The property is already permitted for those uses.

But Jaindl says it is too early to know when the actual plans will be formally presented to planners.

The proposal comes three months after Upper Macungie Township supervisors abandoned a landswap deal with Jaindl in an effort to keep truck traffic down.
