John Brown denied another term as Northampton executive

EASTON, Pa. - After four years in office, incumbent Northampton County Executive John Brown’s term is up after voters elected his opponent Lamont McClure.

On the campaign trail, Brown, a Republican, touted his management of the county’s finances.

"We will have to continue to manage the finances of the county very well. We have saved over $50 million already. There is more of that coming,” Brown told 69 News.

Brown said his record of economic progress and cost-saving measures is a plus for the county and its bank accounts.

But Northampton County voters disagreed, giving McClure the nod.
