Jordan Park pool closes in Allentown after large leak

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A large leak has Allentown's Jordan Park pool out of commission for the rest of the season.

Staff found the pool, at the north end of MacArthur Road and the Sixth Street extension, half empty Wednesday morning and soon found the leak causing the problem.

While decisions could have been made to quickly repair the pool and restore and levels and chemistry in the pool, it was instead decided to close the pool for the season and save an estimated 200,000 gallons of water.

The Doggie Dips programs scheduled for August 23 and August 24 have been moved to Cedar Beach Pool.
