Judge Denies DA's Request For Higher Bail In Deadly Crash Case

EASTON, Pa. - A judge has decided not to raise the bail for a man accused of driving drunk and causing a deadly crash.

Former police officer John Heaney is accused of running into several motorcyclists on Route 512 in Bangor, Northampton County, earlier this month.

Two of the motorcyclists were killed.

Heaney is facing several charges. His bail was set at $5,000, but District Attorney John Morganelli wanted that amount to be higher. A judge said no.
