Last night for rehearsals before the 2017 Freddy's

EASTON, Pa. - It's the last push to make sure every note, dance step, and costume is performance-ready.

"I think the Freddy awards are great. Freddy's are the best time. I always say it's my favorite time of the year," said Kelly Donah, a senior from Freedom High School.

The Freddy's are a chance for high school theater students to be recognized for their talent.

“I think sports are like theater and we work just as hard and it's really important that we both recognized for that," added Donah.

"I think it's awesome how supported high school theater as in this area," said Julia Bezems, a senior at Emmaus High School.

Both Kelly Donah and Julia Bezems are nominated for outstanding performance by an actress in a leading role.

Both seniors say this won't be their last time on stage.

"I am pursuing musical theater at Shenandoah University," said Donah.

Bezems says she's going to pursue music with a track and vocal performance and double major in mathematics.

Over the last four years these ladies have honed their skills and are ready for the Freddy’s.

"I'm just going to have fun with it. Of course there is some nerves for performing on live television but I'm really, really excited" said Donah.
