LCCC students promote "Lend Your Leg" campaign

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. - College students in Lehigh County want you to roll up your sleeves and a pant leg for another important issue.

Thursday is the International Day for Landmine Awareness.

The "Lend Your Leg Campaign" was on display at Lehigh-Carbon Community College in Schnecksville.

The campaign got started three years ago in Colombia.

It has already assisted in the passage of a land mine victim assistance law in Colombia and Somalia's ratification of the United Nations Mine Ban Treaty.

The U.S. is among dozens of noteworthy nations that have not signed the treaty.
